Plural Nouns - Unit 2a

Making Nouns Plural

Cuando hablamos de más de un objeto o persona, utilizamos el plural. El plural en inglés se forma de distintas maneras, dependiendo de la terminación de la palabra: -s / -es / -ies / -ves. También existen los plurales irregulares: man -> men; o palabras que siempre se escriben en plural: scissors.

Recuerden!!! 

a)Utilizamos el artículo indefinido cuando hablamos de algo o de alguien sin especificar (uno cualquiera); o cuando mencionamos ese algo o alguien por primera vez en la conversación: "Ayer ví a un hombre paseando a su perro" -> "Yesterday I saw a man walking his dog".

b)Utilizamos "a" delante de una palabra que empiece por sonido consonántico: a desk / a hat
   Utilizamos "an" delante de una palabra que empiece por sonido vocálico: an umbrella / an hour
